Edition II · Matter in Metamorphosis
Roopantara
Sanskrit — rūpa (form) + antara (change / transformation)
↗ CollectionAt its core, the collection invites a re-authoring of craft, materiality, and technique, viewing craft not as a fixed legacy, but as an evolving process of metamorphosis.
The voices of the season include works by South Asian designers Yousaf Shahbaz & Saira Ahsan, Abin Chaudhuri, Aaj & Khushi Patel, Jwalant Madevwala & Kanika Agarwal, Rug & Kilim, Nithika & Annanya Agarwal, and Veeram Shah.
The collection explores the deconstruction and reinterpretation of period styles, the reimagining of traditional South Asian craft, the questioning of conventional tectonics, and the exploration of materiality, while foregrounding the processes and hands that shape each work.
