Shipping policy
Full payment is required before delivery. Buyer is responsible for ensuring clear access to the delivery location, confirming item fit through entry points, and any associated arrangements.
House of Santal provides ground-floor delivery unless a functioning elevator is available. Additional charges apply for stairs or non-standard conditions. Delivery does not include installation of mirrors, artwork, lighting, or moving existing furniture.
International and air freight quotes are valid for seven (7) days and must be re-quoted thereafter. Buyer is responsible for all customs duties, taxes, and import fees for deliveries outside the USA.
Lead Times
Lead times are estimates only. They begin once we have:
- Complete, signed order documents
- A non-refundable deposit of at least fifty percent (50%)
- All required materials or approvals
Storage
We will store completed orders for ten (10) days free of charge after notifying the Buyer the order is ready to ship. After that, a storage fee of $50.00 per day, per item applies. Fees must be paid in full before delivery.
Tariffs
All charges are based on the actual tariff rates in effect at the time of your order. For shipments outside the United States, both U.S. tariffs and destination-country import duties will be applied at prevailing rates. Buyer is responsible for knowing the country of origin of goods and paying all related customs, taxes, and import fees.
Claims
- Inspection & Notification: Buyer shall inspect all Goods immediately upon delivery. Visible damage must be noted on the delivery receipt and reported to House of Santal in writing within forty-eight (48) hours.
- Claims Window: Claims must be made within forty-eight (48) hours of delivery. Goods stored for future use must still be inspected upon receipt.
- Evidence & Retention: Buyer must photograph the packaging and damaged Goods, retain all packaging, and allow inspection.
- Exclusion of Certain Damages: House of Santal is not liable for operating loss, lost time, lost profit, or indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including costs of removal, reinstallation, storage, reupholstery, or access equipment.
